Raw vs. JPEG
1) What is a RAW photography file?
A RAW file is essentially a digital negative. A RAW file is unprocessed, but it also contains more data than a traditional JPEG.
2) Using complete sentences with specific comparisons, list at least 1 pro and 1 con to shooting in RAW format. Shooting in RAW format can make the exposure errors corrected with more accuracy than using a JPEG file. But RAW files are much larger than a JPEG image, which means they take up more space on your memory card and hard drive.
3) Look up how to change your camera model to shoot in RAW. You do not need to rewrite the instructions, simply tell me where you found the directions on how to change our camera. Either include the link in your answers for #2 or if you found the directions in your manual tell me that as your answer.

4) What are Bits, and how do they affect image quality?
A bit is a techie term for storage. In a RAW file, bit refers to how many colors the image contains. It makes the image more colorful.
5) Change your camera to shoot in RAW. Then change it back to JPEG. Do this at least once and show Mrs. Alger how to change it back and forth for your final points of this assignment.
